ACRES FOR AUROVILLE FLIER – February 2019
ART FOR LAND 2019 – February 1st to March 15th
Auroville’s artists along with artist friends from all over the world have come together for the 4th time to raise funds for Auroville’s missing acres. Over 90 artists have donated their original creations in the media of painting, sculpture, pottery, textiles, jewelry, and photography. In an action of flowing generosity, donors make a land contribution and are gifted with an artwork. In addition to the exhibition there is the opening concert and a variety of fundraising events. This is a non-commercial action – all donations go for land purchase within the Master Plan area.

LANDS FOR AUROVILLE UNIFIED (LFAU) – 24TH NOVEMBER 2018
A few days before the inauguration of Auroville, the Mother “perched on a low stool and armed with a huge black felt-pen” started writing the Auroville Charter. A unique document in earth’s history, it has given a new challenge to the human spirit – and the challenge of building a unique universal town for this unique, visionary charter.
ACRES FOR AUROVILLE FLIER – 24TH NOVEMBER 2018
Throughout history, attempts have been made to create a new model for human life. Most have proved to be short-lived or limited in scope. But Auroville – The Mother’s City of Dawn – has stood the test of time, continuing to grow with richness and vibrancy. In this 50th year, we salute Auroville and remember The Mother’s wish for the land, Auroville’s material body!
New Auroville Land Thanks to Your Donations
Your donations to Acres for Auroville have enabled Auroville’s Land Board to acquire 29 plots and 45 acres of previously missing land to date – close to the Matrimandir, near the Solar Kitchen, in the International Zone, in City Area communities, and in the Greenbelt. Here’s a panorama of just some of the new land – all thanks to your donations!
