SOLIDARITY FOR SAFEGUARDING THE AUROVILLE AREA

Solidarity for Safeguarding the Auroville Area

One of the ways some friends and well-wishers of the A4A campaign show their goodwill and solidarity is by gifting their literary, artistic, or scholarly publications. In recent months, we have received three such works.

“My Narrative 2025”

Lalit Bhati and Shaileja—an architect and town planner couple residing in Auroville for 25 years—have been bringing out their aesthetically appealing diaries My Narrative through their unit “Path Studio”.

They generously offer many of these diaries to Acres for Auroville for gifting to friends and donors. Their website refers to their most recent diary as follows:

“My Narrative 2025 is an interactive diary designed to keep you in touch with your values, access your inner wisdom and live your life with a deeper understanding of who you are and what inspires you….With a variety of designed elements and simple suggestions, it guides you to harness intuition and rely on self-awareness and self-acceptance. ….Because… when you accept yourself nevertheless, Magic Happens!”

On receiving the My Narrative 2024 diary, Hannah Althuizen, a longtime friend of Auroville from The Netherlands wrote: “This Narrative moves my heart in gratitude for you, its makers are really artists whose works must be wonderful, judging from this gift. Very beautiful verses from Savitri, my heart jumps up when I read them, and those paintings, so wonderfully perfect, and those beautiful photographs, and the very nice layout, all this leaves me flabbergasted and full of wonder.”

If you would like to receive the latest 2025 My Narrative, kindly write to us at lfau@auroville.org.in

“The Nectar within the Nectar – Poems, thought and a life inspired by
Sri Aurobindo and The Mother”

“50 More Poems from Auroville”

Alan Vickers came to India, to Pondicherry in the 1970s, drawn by the teachings and vision of Sri Aurobindo. A short meeting with the Mother became a turning point in his life. The Mother gave him the name Vikas. He lived in Auroville for many pioneering years. During those years, he used to write poems in periodicals from Auroville and from the Ashram at Pondicherry. This he continued even after returning to England.

In recent years, he published three books of poems and gifted most of them to Acres for Auroville with the instruction that the sale proceeds of these books should go to the land cause. Recently, during his visit to Auroville, Vikas also offered a beautiful evening programme of the readings of selected poems.

If you wish to have these books of poems, please let us know at lfau@auroville.org.in

“Reflections upon the Psycho-Spiritual Obstacles on the Journey to the  Divine – An Insider’s view”

Dr. Joseph Vrinte is a long-term Aurovilian researching the writings of Sri Aurobindo and the Mother in the context of Integral Yoga. A quick look at his latest book, published by renowned Indic publisher Motilal Banarasidass, reveals the depth of his inquiry and research and discerning selections from huge source material.

Joseph has generously offered that the sale proceeds of his latest book shall go to Acres for Auroville.

If you wish to have a copy of the book, please write to us at lfau@auroville.org.in

We warmly thank Lalit and Shaileja, Vikas, and Joseph

for their wonderful creations – and for their solidarity!
