ART FOR LAND 2019 – February 1st to March 15th

Auroville’s artists along with artist friends from all over the world have come together for the 4th time to raise funds for Auroville’s missing acres. Over 90 artists have donated their original creations in the media of painting, sculpture, pottery, textiles, jewelry, and photography. In an action of flowing generosity, donors make a land contribution and are gifted with an artwork. In addition to the exhibition there is the opening concert and a variety of fundraising events. This is a non-commercial action – all donations go for land purchase within the Master Plan area.

Our 2019 New Year’s Card For The Land

In the early hours of February 28th 2018 – the day of Auroville’s 50th birthday – water from 321 water sources of 77 countries were joined together as a symbol of unity and peace. Our new landboard writes

We are pleased to update you with our work. On completion of the 3-year term of the earlier Land Board, a new team was constituted in May 2018 after comprehensive tests and exercise. The new Land Board team consists of Banumathi, Yuval, Helena and Padmanabhan.
