ACRES FOR AUROVILLE meets its fundraising objective for Phase 2!
Our second consecutive year of fundraising success!
Acres for Auroville is a dynamic action started by Auroville International with Lands for Auroville Unified, in support of the work of Auroville’s Land Board. On August 15, 2014, we initiated A4A Phase 1 with an initial target of fundraising for the Matrimandir Area and the International Zone. We reached our fundraising goal after one year, and encouraged by donor enthusiasm, we widened our aspiration, inaugurating on Sri Aurobindo’s birthday 2015, A4A PHASE 2: The 4 Zones of Auroville’s City Area.
Now, it is our great pleasure to announce A4A’s second year of fundraising success:
Our Mother’s Symbol Success Barometer is 100% golden filled by over 300 donations!
We sincerely thank all of A4A Phase 2 friends for this great achievement. This year, many more Aurovilians have joined as regular supporters. We are happy to count as loyal donors Ashramites, the Golden Chain Fraternity (the Ashram school alumni), and so many devotees of Sri Aurobindo & The Mother in India and around the world. We congratulate the outreach actions of all the Auroville International centers which have touched so many friends and well-wishers of Auroville, and we thank Jaya for her rousing calls to the community.
On August 15th, at the Land Board’s request, A4A will again launch an enlarged action:
A4A Phase 3 – The City Area & Other Priority Plots
This wider focus will give the Land Board flexibility in responding to important opportunities in all of Auroville’s Master Plan Area – to protect the Matrimandir area, unify Auroville’s urban center, consolidate the zone around the City, and protect Auroville by securing top-priority plots in the Greenbelt.
The GreenAcres campaign will continue its crucial companion action with its exclusive focus on Auroville’s Greenbelt. We encourage everyone to support both campaigns!
Acres for Auroville is a consecrated action to bring material support for securing Auroville’s physical body in line with the Mother’s Vision of the City of Dawn. We aim to support the Land Board in their crucial work. Together let’s make A4A Phase 3 another great success!
