Thank to your donations, Auroville’s Land Board was able to enlarge the City of Dawn’s land base by 7.62 acres – with 6 new additions in the past 4 months alone!
- 4.21 acres in the City
- 3.41 acres in the Greenbelt
We sincerely thank the donors to the “ACRES FOR AUROVILLE” campaign (the complete Master Plan area), to the “GreenAcres” campaign (Greenbelt exclusively), and to the Land General fund who have made these encouraging results possible!
Our dedicated goal is to secure the unified and harmonious land base that The Mother envisaged for manifesting the City of Dawn:
- land for creating and protecting a unified City center in accordance with the high ideals Auroville was established for, enabling coherent growth of its needed infrastructure, and for facilities for culture, education, and promoting global peace & understanding,
- land for protecting the green sanctuary of Auroville & Auroville access roads, for assuring water reserves & food production, for restituting green eco-systems and vibrant wildlife, and for its sites hosting environmental projects & training that benefit the bio-region.
