During this year’s Art for Land’s closing ceremony, Aurovilian Loretta recited her poem “Auroville”, written in 1972 at the Matrimandir Worker’s Camp.
It is a moving reminder of the courage, work, and aspiration of Auroville’s pioneers.
On the occasion of Auroville’s 50th anniversary, here is this inspiring poem in the original English, and translated into 6 other languages.
We warmly thank Loretta, and all the translators for making “Auroville” accessible to so many!
