MARATHON 2020 – Have the joy of running AND support Auroville land purchase!
For this wonderful annual Marathon event through the beautiful lands of Auroville, we share with you that every kilometer trail that you enjoy running on has been bought over the years thanks to donations from wellwishers of the City of Dawn from around the world.
Many significant plots are still missing from the Universal Township’s designated physical master plan and the lands remain to be purchased – lands that are urgently needed to consolidate & develop Auroville and to ensure the fulfilment of its inspiring mission.
We invite you to run for these needed acres by asking your friends, family, colleagues, employer to sponsor you and donate an amount of their choice for each km that you run during this coming 13th Auroville Marathon. The funds will go to the “Acres for Auroville” Land Campaign to be exclusively used for land purchase in the designated township area.
